When I looked at this old farm house I thought what stories it must be keeping. In this watercolor painting I was trying to capture the lighting and textures of the day. The shadows from the tree on the rusted roof along with the haze in the sky and the retired farmland fields in the background to the variation of textures and colors in the trees around the house. I used cold press watercolor paper. I applied masking techniques along with layering wet on wet, wet on dry and dry brush methods. Completed on 5-7-21
