Photographed a wet and dyspeptic-looking pelican on the wharf at Port Aransas, Texas. He glared down at me in the light November rain but didn't move a muscle as I snapped away. In the background the sea roiled and foamed. Not a good day for him or me, but an interesting subject nevertheless.
