Climate Crisis By A.Vonn Hartung

“Wages of Sin" is an expressionistic painting addressing, from the beginning of our Biblical history, the wages of sin starting with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. In the painting we see the abandonment of humans to their most basic nature, culminating in the great flood, Noah and his ark. We also see a glimpse of the future with the overwhelming pollution that we are causing, and the flood, which is to come—if we do not change. However, on the right side of the painting we see the Holy Spirit coming down just above the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus gives his followers guidance on how to live. If we follow the gospel of the Lord, we also will live, prosper, enjoy, and be able to pass on a healthy planet to our future. In God we pray.
