A Giclee print of the original painting, “Then their eyes were opened” (Lk 24:31), #5 from the series of 14 Stations of the Resurrection (Via Lucis) by A.Vonn Hartung. In contrast to the previous station, this scene is peaceful, centered and subdued like the setting of the sun beyond the distant hills. The sharing of the meal under a soft tent-like shelter on the roof of the house at Emmaus. The opening of the curtain reminds us of the tearing of the curtain in the temple when Christ died on the cross. It is that moment of recognition when with the breaking of the bread the disciples recognize this stranger as their Lord, the Risen Christ. In the bottom half of the circle, Calvary and the abyss that represents death, and the three-dimensional cross—the bridge from earthly to eternal reality. Not Mounted—When ordered unframed, an extra 2-inch border is added around the size being ordered providing extra canvas for mounting. Canvas prints which are unmounted or unframed are usually shipped rolled in a sturdy shipping tube. Stretched Mount – ¾” Deep—The canvas print will be mounted over 3/4-inch thick (depth) stretcher bars. These prints are meant to be inserted into a frame. Stretched Mount – 1.5” Deep—The canvas print will be mounted over 1.5-inch thick (depth) stretcher bars. These prints are meant to be hung unframed or inserted into a canvas floater frame. Dibond Metal print—your artwork is printed directly on 1/8-inch (3 mm) thick aluminum Dibond panels (a sturdy aluminum composite sheet with a plastic core). Printed with UV-inks directly to the panel; durable, waterproof, and weather resistant. Ideal for outdoors or areas with high foot traffic. Metallic surface has an underlying white base coat applied to the surface providing an optimal color range during printing.
