Born in Johannesburg in 1956, Louise embarked on a journey of self-discovery through her art. After completing the foundation year at art college, her desire to travel led her to Europe at the age of 21. She explored various countries such as France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany, sketching her experiences along the way. These travels not only broadened her artistic perspective but also deepened her understanding of the world.
Upon returning to South Africa, Louise lived and worked in the US for 8 years, studying Fashion Design at night. She eventually settled in the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, where she raised her 3 children. Over the years, she has taken numerous art courses locally and abroad, honing her skills and expanding her creative repertoire. Louise has been a full-time artist for 25 years, and currently resides in Stilbaai, Western Cape.
Louise's work spans across a range of mediums, capturing the relationships between humanity and the natural world in both realistic and abstract ways. Her photos evoke a sense of connection to the environment and provoke contemplation on our place within it. Whether for home or office decor, Louise's prints are a beautiful addition to any space, inviting viewers to engage with the beauty of the world around them.
